Challenges of school resources management for curriculum delivery in South African Rural High Schools: Principals' perceptions on the way forward

Various existing studies have established the multi-faceted nature of social inequalities in South Africa. The also segregate schools into urban and rural schools, with adequate or lack infrastructure influencing learners' performances various African schools. Hence, school principals are expected to manage available resources attain curriculum delivery whole school's performance. This qualitative study explored principals' perspectives on managing uneven achieve goals objectives education system. adopted an interpretive paradigm understand voices 20 semi-structured interviews. were purposively selected from King Cetshwayo district KwaZulu-Natal. audio-recorded interviews thematically analysed generate themes for findings discussion. Findings revealed that most need more resources, support quality adequately. lamented high expectations placed their academic excellence learners. Thus, contents each subject could not be efficiently unpacked delivered study, therefore, recommends improvement resource provision At same time, should capacitated effectively desired efficient implementation
